It Was Incredible
As an experienced GRE tutor, I can attest to the fact that this book is excellent for boosting vocabulary for the GRE English. It is true, that the author gives a couple of examples of the old analogies and antonyms in the first few introductory pages of the book - that is because these were still tested in the GRE English, when the book was published. But there are none anywhere else. The main units provide students with the essential words, their common definitions, various GRE-type illustrative sentences. I highly recommend it.

It Helped Me
I bought this with GRE English test to prepare for the test. I'd say it helped me. It has plenty of quizzes for good practice, and they do a great job of explaining the testing process to you. The strategies might take a while at first, but over time it gets easier to process faster. What I didn't like, though, was that beyond the quizzes, nearly everything is identical to the verbal and writing sections. The vocab hit lists are exactly the same- I would have liked some new words. The English on the GRE is pretty simple.

Strategies Went Well
I would recommend Testking's GRE English to someone who is looking for a practice book, with a bit of explanation and strategy. The sample questions are solid and there are plenty of them. The strategies are sometimes helpful, but at other times not so helpful, because the author explains them too hastily, assumes prior knowledge on the part of the reader, or does not provide enough detail.The strategies seem to work well. The verbal test is changing next week, so I'm not sure how useful this book will be.

Well Prepared
I am certain that if you follow certain steps, you'll be well prepared for the GRE without the need to take any expensive prep course or private tutoring. I struggled preparing for the GRE, and that's why I know how painful it can be if one doesn't have the right guidance.

Clear Explanations
I have tried a different book prior to this one, and I have to admit that this Testking guide is superior to the one I used before. It has extensive number of sample tests, explanations and reviews. It's down to the point, without all the extra fluff and wasted paper. I find it very helpful to have very clear explanations to each question, and I seem to catch on, learn and figure out the logic of the test creators. I would definitely recommend starting with GRE English as you prepare for your test.
