GRE for dummies is a Nice breakdown of what the GRE is, how it's given, how it's scored and a great review of test questions with tips on how to answer when you don't know the answer. It was a good intro for the GRE. I got really sick of the stupid humor about half way through, it got real old. received this in the mail promptly with excellent condition. If I need to purchase will do so.It provided a lot of great tips and tricks. It also helped me to become comfortable with the unusual question format. Thanks

Changed My Life
After taking the GRE once I wanted to try a book that used a different approach. This book really helped me get in the mode of 1)recognizing root patterns in words, 2)looking up words I wasn't familiar with, 3)understanding the reading comprehension questions better. memorized hundreds of vocabulary words, took endless practice tests, and sat through banal classes -- and still was not able to meet my goal. In desperation and preparation of my third try I bought the GRE for Dummies' book that changed my life.

No Other Book
If you are going to take the GRE, buy GRE for dummies and no other. The author fills you in on all the tricks you need to know to score well on the GRE, and does not waste your time with lists of 30,000 vocabulary words. Spend your time learning the structure of the test and how to avoid the traps, then learn the basic information. Her chapters on algebra and geometry are much more useful than Barron's or any other books I looked at, and her strategy for vocabulary makes much better use of your time.

Test Scores Soared
I flipped through several "traditional" GRE self-study books, but with little time to prepare and no desire to memorize lists of obscure vocabulary words, I bought Testking GRE for dummies. After a week of learning strategies and understanding how the test works, my practice test scores soared! And I wound up scoring well over 600 on the math and analytical portions of the test. Basic Concepts
Testking GRE for dummies presents the basic concept of the questions and address the problem of perfect time management.The V section is pretty good, especially the vocabulary (prefixes and suffixes). For getting the questions in reading comprehension right however, mostly it is simply a waste of time to read the whole passage.The Q section is also pretty good, she well explains some shortcuts to avoid time-consuming calculations. Testking is the best in market out there.
